We have been notified that effective March 26, 2020, the IRS Service Center in Kansas City is closed through April 8, with an anticipated re-opening on Thursday, April 9. The closure of the Fresno, CA facility on March 23, combined with Kansas City closure is expected to result in processing-returns delays of at least 2-weeks.
The CIC Service TaxReturnVerifications.com office is currently fully staffed and 100% functional, and we will continue to receive, process, and hold 4506-T orders as they are received. We intend to release the orders in sequence, in coordination with the IRS as they re-open and begin to process again.
CIC is in communication with the IRS, and as we learn more about the plans for the Service Centers, we will share those updates with you as applicable. Thank you for your business, your patience, and your understanding as we work through this particular time.
