RAPID RESPONSE - RESCORE PROGRAM

The RAPID RESPONSE service enables CIC to update the consumer credit information with the three national repositories of consumer credit information within 3 to 5 days. CIC will forward documents, supplied by the consumer, directly to the three major bureaus for a investigation and updating of items reporting incorrectly on the consumers credit file. CIC can not add new lines of credit to the credit file or update credit limits. When ordering a Rapid Response take advantage of the Credit Xpert Tools to give you the potential score increase. Make your actions count with CIC Credit Xpert tools.

CIC now offers a No Document rescore service. Just download the form, check the No Document option, and we do the rest. No wasted time gathering documents let CIC do the work for you! Please call 800-352-5882 and speak with the rescore department or your account executive for more information on this valuable service.

* At this time Trans Union does not accept No Doc Rescores*

What type of information can be investigated and updated by CIC?

CIC requires a verifiable document from the creditor and can be used for the below:

  • Remove derogatory information and accounts that were reported in error
  • Update an account that has been paid in full and closed
  • Update the status of a collection
  • Update a balance or paid-in-full status
  • Update an account to show it included in a bankruptcy
  • Borrower is being reported as Deceased

Acceptable Documentation required:

For the bureau to accept CIC requests, all documents MUST be typed on letterhead, from the creditor reporting the account, Collection agency receipts with account number, Court issued documents, and letter of discharge and all schedules for bankruptcies. It should state specifically how the information should be changed and include the date, complete account number, name and phone number of the creditor contact.

Types of documentation the credit repositories WILL NOT accept are:

  • Letters without a telephone number or date
  • Divorce Decrees
  • Documentation without matching account numbers
  • Documents over 30 days old (other than court documents)
  • Cancelled Checks or Bank Statements
  • Payment histories
  • Western Union or other wire transfer receipts
  • Internet receipts, print outs, and statements of any kind
  • Money orders or Copies of Cashiers Checks
  • Hand written letters from ANY source, buyer or grantor
  • HUD sheets/settlement sheets
  • "Alive and Well" letter from the Social Security Administration office in the borrower's state.
  • Letter stating the borrower is not deceased from the creditor reporting that information
  • Also, documents from original grantors for debts listed by agencies are frequently rejected by the repositories.
  • Equifax - does not accept any letters from First Union, MBNA, Providian or Wachovia
  • Experian - does not accept documents from Wells Fargo.

How much does RAPID RESPONSE cost?

Please call for pricing, per bureau per borrower, per tradeline for all repositories.

On all canceled order there will be a 20.00 fee.

*Equifax, Trans Union, & Experian stipulate that the consumer must not be charged directly or indirectly for this type of service.
